What are Dental Implants?
Dental implants can be used to replace single or multiple teeth and can also be used to add stability to dentures. Over 95% of modern implants can last for many years with the correct care.
An implant is a length of medical grade titanium metal that is placed into the jawbone, into a similar position to where the roots of teeth are situated. This involves a minor surgical procedure that can be done using local anaesthetic at Botley Dental Practice.
Dr Jag Poonia is our dentist with a special interest in implants. At your initial appointment with Jag, he will give you a full dental assessment, take impressions so that study models can be cast and take x-rays to check the bone where the implant will be placed.
